How do I get rid of Canadian geese from my yard

At a sailing club I go to they put rubber snakes on the docks to keep the geese off. Go to a toy store and buy some and put them around the edge of the pond.

If you poison, then you will either pay a huge fine or get arrested. I hope you get both.

I feel ur pain. Dogs r usually a good deterrent, but bottle rockets also work quite well. The problem is as soon as u leave the house they will come back again.

Wind socks or anything that moves & sways around when the wind blows helps, but they will get used to them if u do not switch them up every few days.

I've heard of communities as a whole working together to keep geese away from their ponds. They've even gone as far as 'oiling' goose eggs so that the flock wo not grow in numbers.

A couple of dogs should do it. Borrow them if you have too.

The only 100% effective method to get rid of the geese is to drain the pond which I am sure u do not want to do.

Some people have tried swans because they can be very territorial & beautiful. However, I have seen swans & geese cohabitate on the same pond. Swans r also expensive to buy & they may chase ur dog.

You may also want to try one of the many motion detection deterants on the market to scare away wild animals. These modern day scare crows sometimes hook up to a garden hose to spray & make noise to scare the animal away. I know these work well with deer.

Find a statue of an owl!! All birds will scatter at the sight of these predators! I know of several homeowners at my lake house who have these on their docks/floats and have NO geese.,,:-)=

Bear traps.lasers.bird hungry prison guards.bigger dogs with huge fangs that arnt puss dogs.line it with barbed wire..make some dug outs.some fox hole.put up sand bags get some tanks maybe get some infantry to hide out in the woods onlooking your yard..if you dont be carful though they might shit on them too..lock your doors lock your car..they are very dangerous and love to steal your belongings..the best bet is to contact the FBI and ask them what they are doing in your yard.

Of course later you will be looking for something to take care of your gator problem.

See if you can find some repellent based on Bobcat urine.
